Aaron Hunt leaves Wolfsburg for Hamburg transfer

Wolfsburg have confirmed the sale of Aaron Hunt to Hamburg on a busy day of transfer activity at the northern Germany club.

Following the sale of Kevin De Bruyne to Manchester City on Sunday, the Wolves bought Julian Draxler, Dante and Ismail Azzaoui on Monday and have now allowed Hunt to leave after only a year at the club.

“I would like to thank [director of sport] Klaus Allofs for giving me this opportunity to move to Hamburg at such short notice,” Hunt said on the club’s official website.
